Iljung Kim

Mr. and Mrs. Kim is a heartwarming family comedy about the lives of immigrants who come to the US in search of a better life. It tells the story of Josh, a young boy who is embarrassed to share his parents' seemingly uninteresting lives on a school career day. I believe this film is even more meaningful now, reminding us how America became what it is today. It isn't built by the colonialists, who stole the land from the indigenous people, but by the immigrants, who came to achieve something better.
